- La Porte sits at 5,000 feet. The drive is about 90 minutes from Yuba City and about two hours from Sacramento.

- Gas stations are sparse in the area. Be sure to fill up before heading into the mountains. The last major gas station is Gold Eagle Market in Brownsville, if coming up Marysville Road.

- Please check the weather before arriving. October evenings can be chilly with a chance of rain, frost, or occasionally, an early light snow. We recommend bringing layers.

- Cell service is very limited in La Porte and the surrounding hills. However, WiFi will be available at The Union Hotel. Please download any maps or directions ahead of time.

- Kids are welcome to come! For guests staying the weekend with us who have young children, there are two cribs available at The Union Hotel.

- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the hotel. We appreciate your understanding.

- We’ll be providing meals for guests staying the weekend and will have some light snacks available. There’s also a large communal kitchen, so feel free to bring any additional food or snacks you’d like and make yourself at home.

- If you would like to stay the weekend with us and the "Weekend Guest Arrival" RSVP isn't available, all rooms may be taken. Due to limited on-site accommodations, we are unable to host all invited guests for the weekend, but we're excited to celebrate together and host everyone for dinner on October 24.
